COLOR TUNER / FLEX PACK V4.4
Software updates – ew. They’re a pain in the neck to schedule in, but according to the software house, they’re always essential and need to be done AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, or that’s the theory. What’s really helpful, is knowing that any update you *do* have to put the handbrake on for, is going to be worthwhile.
CGS’s latest updates for COLOR TUNER and for FLEX PACK are on the horizon, and we’re happy to confirm they’re excellent. Version 4.4 highlights include:
- Simplified Recalibration – good news, always.
- Spot Color Certification with an external device – printing a second colour bar, opening up your options; also good news
- Scatter Proof Manager improvements – because that’s always a good thing.
- Test Chart Generator enhancements – small but important changes.
Support for new printers:
- Mutoh 628 und 1628 for Halftone
- Roland MG-640 and MG-300 for Contone and Halftone (FLEX PACK)
- Roland LG-640, LG-540 and LG-300 for Contone (FLEX PACK)
- StreamMasterWG MG300-OGV for Contone (FLEX PACK)
… and coated color libraries for PANTONE METALLICS, too. There’ll be Release Notes, of course, and opportunities to feed back on what’s great, and what’s not. Watch this space for more news…
